This year’s Latin club shirt design highlights the theme "Sine attritu poliri non potest gemma nec homo compleri sine tribulationibus," emphasizing the idea that both gems and human beings are refined—or polished—through trials and tribulations. On the front, I’ve illustrated a polished gem with a reflective surface to symbolize this “refinement.” Within the gem, I’ve illustrated Theseus navigating the labyrinth, representing the trials he overcame to achieve greatness. The back of the shirt depicts Herakles fighting the Hydra, tying into the same theme of perseverance through tribulation.
