A message from this year’s shirt designer!

This year’s annual Nationals convention was held at UT Knoxville in Tennessee. Like usual, this year’s extravaganza brought us endless fun, competition, and tears (of joy, hopefully). We also visited the Parthenon in Nashville where the kids, once again, got to frolic in the fields. Thank you for your support and we hope that many life-long memories were made!

This year we brought the long forgotten tradition of Latin Officer Awards, where our 10 club officers each recognized a member of the club for proficiency in a certain area. Below, you can read about the meaning of each of these insightful awards, and why the corresponding member was honored with such an honorable prize!

This past weekend, 88 members of the Health Careers Latin Club journeyed to Anderson High School in Austin for the annual convention of the Texas State Junior Classical League. They won over 100 individual awards in academic, performance, art, and athletic contests, and brought home our 20th state championship in the past 22 years! More importantly, the kids got to frolic in the fields at Zilker park, meet new friends from across the state, bond with their classmates, and make some great memories :)
